Class 11/25 ENGL 200

We are towards the end of the semester with one more paper due.  I want everyone to start revising your essay's and putting together your portfolio.  Here is the assignment for the week.

• Take some time to revise all your essays and turn them during class.
• Bring your portfolio to class on Monday 11/25 with essays & response papers included

FYI:  I have included a Microsoft Word document in the Reading's List for those of you that are having problems citing.  Please check it out if you need to.

To those of you that have not been attending class, 

It is urgent that you notify me of your plans.  At this point, it is too late to drop the class, please avoid failing the course and make plans to either talk to me individually, or by email.

Class 11/06/13 (ENGL 200)

We will begin a discussion on the socioeconomic conditions relevant to our community.  The assignment for this week is to bring a local newspaper, review, or article, and tie it in to something relevant in the economy.  Read the article and we will discuss it in class

Here is the writing assignment:

• Bring newspaper article, read it, and we will discuss it in class
• Writing Prompt::  You often hear about the economic deficit in the media.  Think about a difficulty in your past that you had with money; your own kind of deficit to say the least.  Give me a one page explanation about this deficit.  What was this experience like?
